Maples has three venues for rent: :

  • Arena = 500 max (with liquor) 800 (no liquor)

FOR-PROFIT EVENTS:
Private socials, fundraisers, concerts and other for-profit events

For-profit events in the gymnasium that serve alcohol are priced all-inclusive; taxes, set-up and take down of tables and chairs, soft drink and orange juice mix, coffee, cups, ice and bartenders are included.

• Meeting Room - $120.00 daily or $30/hr.
• Gymnasium - $1,000.00 (includes 3 bartenders)
• Arena - $3,000.00 (includes 6 bartenders)
• taxes included

Effective immediately For Profit events require security personnel; 1 - 2 for gym events and 2 - 3 for arena events. Renters may contract Maples security personnel for $80/night each or may contract with a third-party security providor acceptable to Maples.

ARENA rentals may be subject to chair rental fees - ask about chair rental charges when you make your booking. Events may be subject to cleaning fees and other charges upon inspection of the premises after the event.

Renters must obtain an MLCC liquor permit prior to the event - see below.

NON-PROFIT EVENTS:
Organizations / Family / Meetings / Gym Use

Maples charges $40/hr for the gym and $50.00/hr for the arena for Non-Profit Events but please read below for extra charges that may apply.

Non-profit events with 50+ attendees are subject to a $50.00 cleaning fee, a $50.00 set-up charge and a $10.00 flat supervisor fee.

Renters must obtain an MLCC liquor permit prior to the event if alcohol will be consumed - see below.

*Arena is available for socials from April 1 to August 31, skating rink available from September 1 to March 31.

By holding your event at Maples you are supporting our community centre and the many sports and leisure programs we offer to kids and seniors.

Liquor Permits

Maples is licensed, however, renters who wish to serve alcohol at their events, whether it is sold or provided free-of-charge, must obtain a separate permit from the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission. These permits must be obtained prior to event day and are subject to inspection by Maples before alcohol is allowed on the premises. Please contact the MLCC at 284-2501 for information and licensing.

Tentative Booking Policy

DO NOT PRINT OR SEND OUT INVITATIONS, BOOK A DEEJAY, PURCHASE A LIQUOR LICENSE, ARRANGE FOR CATERING OR INCUR ANY OTHER EVENT RELATED COSTS UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT AND PAID A DEPOSIT.

Maples will not be liable for costs you incur if your tentative booking lapses and the hall is forfeited to another renter.

Entries on calendar indicate the gym is booked for that date and during the times specified. Click on the entries for more information about the specific event.

Bookings marked tentative means a party has booked the date but has not paid their deposit nor have they signed a rental agreement. Tentative bookings are held for 14 days.
