Maples Cricket Park Gets Major Funding

The RBC Foundation has donated $20,000 to Maples for the construction of Cricket batting cages at the Elwick site. This newest addition is the groundwork for future developments scheduled at Elwick.
Maples was honoured to host Jill Officer for the occasion. Ms. Officer is a gold and bronze World Champion curler, and her moving motivational speech stirred the many kids, volunteers, visitors and media in attendance.

Registration for Maples 2010 Cricket Set for April
Our Maples Cricket program will officially launch this year with registrations starting in April, 2010 with the season to follow from May 27 to mid-September.
The program will accept children and youths aged 10 and up. Boys and girls are encouraged to apply. The Maples team will have a brand new pitch to play on that was installed last year!

Maples Cricket Program Receives Equipment Grant
We're pleased to report that our recent GCWCC equipment grant application was approved for $4,000.00. MRAI will be contributing an additional $600.00. Monies will be used for new equipment purchases to make sure the cricket program gets off to a strong start!

Historic - Maples Community Centre Opens Cricket Park !!
Members of the Maples Community Centre Board and it's volunteers cordially invite you to join us at the official opening of the the first cricket park in Winnipeg north district (Maples).
The Maples is one of the fastest growing areas in the city, and the Maples CC is proud to add cricket to it's many programs- reflecting the diversity of our community.
