On November 18, 2010 we packed 44 Maples Basketball players and friends into a Beaver Bus Lines highway coach and ventured to Minneapolis, MN to take in a Lakers versus Timberwolves game at the Target Center.

The trip included two nights stay in the plush Weston Minneapolis and an hour of practice time on court at the Target Center prior to the game.

All participants arrived safely - if not a bit tired out - on Nov 20, 2010 after their amazing trip and early reports say everyone had a blast. No major glitches and the itinerary went off relatively uneventful. The Lakers won 112 to 95.

Special thanks to our basketball Convenor Lisa Jitoboh and her daughter Meghan for their hard work in organizing and supervising the trip.

Maples Girls and Boys Teams win City WMBA Championships!

A few Maples teams made the 2010 WMBA City Playoffs and we happen to catch the
Boys 10 taking the championship on Saturday June 19, 2010 and the Girls 13-14 winning their division on Sunday June 20, 2010. Both teams were destroyers, and cleaned out their divisions with 11 straight wins each throughout the season.

Another great job by our coaches this season and we're proud of all our players for their hard work and dedication. WAY TO GO MAPLES BASKETBALL TEAMS!!!
